JWCH Institute, Inc. is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving various cities within LosAngeles County including Antelope Valley. Health Centers provide healthcare services to the underserved and uninsured and were initiated during the 1960s as part of the Public Health Act. Our newest and largest medical clinic in Lancaster encompasses a total of approximately 34,000 square feet with access to medical and dental care for pediatrics, adults and geriatrics. Podiatry and chiropractic services are also available at the clinic. An additional 8,400 square feet is committed to daycare services.
A scope of services expansion allowed for the inclusion of optometry services in our Health Center’s newest medical building in Lancaster. The Optometry Clinic is housed inside one of the Health & Wellness medical buildings with two beautiful exam rooms, an optician’s room, large pre-test room, contact lens room for storage and training, retinal camera room, frame displays and cabinetry by EyeDesigns, and a large private office.
All new equipment includes an Octopus 900 Basic Perimeter, Topcon Digital Camera, OCT-2 Maestro (OCT/Retinal Camera), iPAC Pachymeter, NCT (Reichert 7CR Tonometer), Topcon Auto-Refractometer, ergonomically designed exam rooms with fully equipped exam lanes and 20/20 Acuity System.
Salary Range is $121,140-$141,467 and is negotiable. Relocation fees may be included if applicable. Position is Full-time, Monday – Friday.
The medical clinic is located close to the historic Downtown Lancaster with the Aerospace Walk of Honor. Lancaster was incorporated in 1970 but its origins started in the 1880’s. During 1898 gold was found in the hills north of Lancaster. Historic Lancaster captures the feeling of retro America. The city is known for its aerospace and electronics industries and aerospace history. This optometry position with JWCH Institute, Inc. is a unique opportunity to practice with a diverse population in a medical clinic, providing care with a team based approach.
