Beautiful frame displays have never been used. They were ordered for an office which never opened and have been kept in storage. They are for sale as a complete lot or as individual items. Will consider other offers.
As you are aware, parts of Louisiana have been devastated by floods - 30 inches of rain in a matter of days. Many doctors of optometry - and their patients - have been affected, losing or encountering severe damage to their home and/or practice. We respectfully ask that you join other doctors of optometry from around the nation and make a financial contribution to assist our colleagues and their patients in this time of need. The Optometry Association of Louisiana has established a disaster relief fund specifically for this purpose. No amount is too small, and anything would be enormously appreciated by our peers. Thank you in advance for your generosity in this time of great need.
California Lions Friends in Sight Helps Homeless Veterans
On July 23, California Lions Friends in Sight took their vision screening services to the Veterans Village of San Diego for the annual “Stand Down” for homeless veterans. What a privilege it was for our volunteers to meet and provide for these heroes who so deservingly need our help. We provided nearly 350 screenings and recycled eyeglasses. Many had never worn prescription eyeglasses and several were diagnosed with cataracts, glaucoma, and other vision threatening disease. The Stand Down event brought more than 2,000 homeless veterans to a tent city for food, overnight shelter, medical services, counseling, legal assistance, job training, rehabilitation, and volunteer optometrists working alongside the California Lions Friends in Sight team. To volunteer for upcoming CLFIS screenings contact Kay Kahn, 626-695-0047 or [email protected]. For the event schedule visitwww.californialionsfriendsinsight.org
